You’ve probably noticed certain people when they walk in the door. It’s not like they’re loud or anything. And yet they just command your attention.
Are they cocky?
Maybe
Perhaps they’re just really huge and you can’t miss them?
Sometimes… but that’s not it…
It’s their confident attitude. It’s the fact that they don’t really care what you think because they are going to do what they do anyway.
They have the Deon Sanders confidence and strangely enough you’re either drawn to this or you’re turned away… and yet either way… you can’t take your eyes off of it.
So how does this cocky confidence help your sales copy?
Pretty substantially actually. You see, people by and large like to be told what to do. Why?
Because if they are told what to do then they don’t have to think and thinking is work. (Keep in mind, we are all like this.)
On top of that confidence gives the impression that the person knows what their talking about. Otherwise they wouldn’t be confident.
So confidence and blunt copy (that still follows good structure) will perform very well. It’s like John Carlton says… “Don’t sell from your heels.”
Sounds good right? Here’s how to help you find this confidence and put it in your business.
Become an alter ego.
I’m going to write another article about alter ego’s, but simply find a marketing alter ego you can create. Somebody who is ridiculously confident and isn’t afraid to speak or sell.
Then when you write, make videos, or whatever… become that person. You’ll see your copy take on a new light. It will feel good and it will be good.
Don’t forget… that the same good structure of a written sales pitch stays the same. All the benefit laden copy with strong proof and attention grabbing voodoo power applies.
