Three Ways to Get More People To Subscribe To Your Email List E-mail

It’s the equivalent of the fountain of youth in Internet business world. The email list of subscribers.

You have this and you have a business. You nurture and take care of your list and you have an almost indestructible business. But how can you get more people on to the list so you can build a relationship?

I’m glad you asked because…

Here are just there ways that you can help to get more people onto you list.

1. The Sneaky Method

The man behind this genius is Rich Schefren and it’s about getting people on your list without them even opting in. How do you do that?

You pretty much give a report or video series or audio… anything really... away for free. Then within that report or whatever, you make sure you have links that tell the reader to go to check out the expanded edition.

The expanded edition will require registration to see. This might even open the door to getting more information from your prospects.

The strategy also allows you to get your initial lead magnet to more places because you are giving it away for completely free. I’m definitely going to test this one.

2. Opt In With Email Only

This strategy isn’t really to new but I don’t think enough business owners know about it.

When you ask for an opt in, just ask for the email address. Forget the name, the phone, and everything else. For now that is.

Statistics prove that initially getting just the email address will increase your opt ins. From there you can start to build a relationship and segment your list to collect more information if you need it.

3. Announcement List Method

This is something I’ve been testing and will continue to test until I have some hard data. But it’s the announcement list method.

The emergence of video has made reading text not much fun for a lot of people. After all the average person watches four hours TV a night. So they’d probably want to watch your content.

The announcement list method asks the visitor to sign up to be on the announcement list for future video shows, interviews, etc…

This doesn’t imply that they will receive a ton of emails so initially I think it might be a little easier to sign up for. Not to mention that signing up for videos is a little more exciting than a report.

Bonus method: The tell a friend scripts.


I am testing these too right now, but all the evidence from other business owners who have been using it say it is almost solely responsible for exploding their list count.

You have to make sure you have a good “prize” to make the person tell their friends.

Test these methods yourself and see what happens. Some might just work gang busters for you and get your list off to the races. One thing is for sure… stay persistent and you can’t fail.
